Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Shakespeare marathon- knew I wasn't perfect but after all that training I'd have had to be bed ridden amd still atavhed to the drip not to try. A 12 second pb which made me :-) but I think I've put myself off marathons for quite some time! I thought I'd not look atvthe watch just run how I felt and try to stay comfortable. Really enjoyed till about 17 then gradually legs started turning to jelly. At 20 ish I stopped in my tracks I was quite desperate as didn't know if I could even manage to walk 6 miles to the finish.not quite sure how I got through the next 3 milesbut by 3 to go I was starting to pull myself together. Was super glad to finish still standing. I really rate it as a marathon, top class however I really am hanging up my marathon shoes for quote some time now!

Katy when I wrote my comment I didn't know you had been ill, very ill by the sound of it. Dave says he was worried about his cold.
