Notes & Comments

Stornoway Half Marathon Found this a tough course the first couple of miles into the wind and most of the 2nd half more like xc with continous hills and on either gravel or trail. Held back at the start trying to hold 5.50ish and let the front 5 disapear into the distance in the hope they'd come back, eventually they did eventually moving into 2nd by mile 6. But clubmate Andy Joyce running for Stornoway was by then out of sight with winning in a jaw dropping 1.16. I wasn't helped by a missing marshall at a junction in the forest trails at 7 miles which had me thinking I was off course for about a mile and was just about to turn I back until I found the next arrow. Pleased enough with 2nd place feel I'm in a bit of a rut at the moment and will hopefully be more competitive as the series goes on.
