As predicted I was just over 3 hours so really happy with that. Getting home was a bit traumatic. Cycled up to Ramsgate station, caught train, chuffed to Broadstairs and there we waited for an hour and a half. When they announced a bus was onroute I jumped back on my bike and headed off towards Birchington and was rescued there by Bobo! Ironically had I just cycled home from Ramsgate I would have been here hours ago! Ho hum! Legs felt fine on the bike too. Missed opportunity perhaps! Although I did promise MF7 that I wouldn't cycle!!!
The organisation was (as always) faultless and the Army of Marshalls was wonderful - all shouting out encouragement and looking like they were happy to be out there. It helps enormously when you are running.... Thank you.
I hope I didn't scare the Raynet ladies too much when I arrived and then promptly stripped off down to the buff!
All in all, a fab day. I fell a little tired and was clearly slowing badly over the last part of the run, but very very happy with my little long-brick experience. A couple of niggles to watch out for (left calf and right ITB) but nothing that stopped me running and didn't feel either when I got back on the bike.
Now I need Chips and beer..............
