At dentist 16.45 out 17.30ish so rush hour. Decided to try local paddle on canal not drive home. Nearest was Sighthill but bit dodgy so went to Ratho instead! Lovely. Had been a nice day 20C but wind picking up so cooling in evening but still lovely. I have perfected a stroke that keeps me straight. C shaped? Pull towards bow, drive down board then twist to j stroke to complete. Need to be strugt on canal or swap every few strokes. Only problem was weeds! I had to clear them a couple of times as I ground to a halt! But other than that, beautiful. Chat to a couple runners and cyclists. At end a um and son on boards, waving to people in gardens and pub! Goodshoulder and corr workout too! :-) G
