Girvan Prom Parkrun #232

Third place 🌤️😎💨
Group of three headed out together on the first lap, all within 5-10 meters of each other. Young lad, who eventually won opened up a gap as did I on the lad in third place. Things went wrong within the last mile when I felt lightheaded and ultimately stopped in my tracks. Thankfully was stood upright and only realised I had stopped when the lad that was in third place spoke to me. Used my heart recorder device then managed to get running again.

Lost roughly a minute from that and the rest of the run.

I’m not intending too! Shame that I’ll never know how I’d had got on. The young lad took first place with another PB but I’m almost certain that I would have finished 2nd 🤷‍♀️
