Notes & Comments

Berlin Marathon. A PB, pleased considering pain in legs but not quite what I was hoping for. Had a rough 15km to start and felt really drained. Something clicked and the next 18km were much better. Started to tire at about 33km, but kept going and am proud of myself for running the whole way and only walking through the water station at 35k and 40k to make sure I took on enough fluid as it was pretty hot out there! Ran a fairly consistent race and managed to do the second half in under 2 hours for the first time! Found the flatness of the route quite tough going and a few hills would have been nice. Crossed the line in style projectile vomiting everywhere - made the woman in Little Britain look tame! Splits (26.50/53.39/1.19.32/1.45.37 (half way 0 1.51.13)/ 2.11.38/2.38.24/3.05.50/3.34.20 (finish = 3.46.37)
