Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Notes & Comments

Time is a guesstimate as I forgot to stop watch at finish. Was more concerned about not ploughing through the line of people waiting for a medal, as finish speed was a bit QUICK!!! :-) - NOW REAL TIME

A lovely day - sun out, chilly, though perfect for racing. Course was beautiful, when I managed to look around. see full race report.

To the guy in the first mile: ... There was a lady from St Albans Striders in front of me whilst going up hill. Guy shouts out - 'Are you from St Albans?' - No answer. He tries again, getting closer to her ''Are you from St Albans?' - No answer again. By this point most people might get the message. Third time - this time right next to her- 'Are you from St Albans? I'm doing the 10 mile race there next week, do you know where the start is?' What an eejit! You are lucky you did not get a slap!! Poor woman, in the zone, uphill, racing and some bloke shouts to you about something that they could find out from the race website. Well done for just keeping going.

I LOVED this race :-)
