Omagh HM. Drizzly and cool day.
Planned to start easy with 6:40s and see what happened. Mile 2 is quite uphill, so happy enough.
Stitch *did* come on at about 5m, and I slightly struggled with that for a couple of miles. But it didn't reach problem proportions, and then went away again. Breathing deliberately harder and bigger to try to help, and making sure to stay tall.
Got running with a another guy from about 8 to 12, which really helped share the leading; there were some headwind sections, plus the mental effort.
Pleased to see the predicted mental calculations for finish time come in from 88:x to 87:x to 86:x over the last 5m. I had no more than that.
Finish back on the track now, where it was in 2010 - nice!
Lastly - fabulous to meet the lovely Tikka pre-race. She's tiny, like a little bird :-)
