First mile was up hill a little but nothing compared to the next mile, many people walked and by the time id reached the top i felt my pb was well out. It then started to taper and the ups and downs became managable, in fact managed to increase on the downs so by the time i came to the big down hill id caught up with my predicted time. The route then took us back down the original hill and this in itself was a test, a few people fell cos of the steepness and poor footing. by this time i was in front of the time but didnt want to push it too much in case i fell as well. last 1k was flat and on a path. overall very satisfied with the time, id heard that winner only did it in 36mins but will have to check when online results posted. updated time, quicker on official time by 1 sec. came 47 out of 438, well pleased.
