Woodley 10k

Beautiful day for a race, though a tad on the hot side towards the second half. Started off feeling good and running at a good consistent pace. Things changed in the second half of the race when it really started getting warm. Many guys ahead of me faded fast. I faded just a bit.

Checked my watched just as I entered the final stretch and noticed I could be on for a sub-37 so put my foot down. Got 37min on the dot according to my watch. Time will tell if the chip time was any different.

Not a bad performance in the end, especially given the alcohol consumed yesterday afternoon - Brewdog's Born to Die 14-05-16 is a fantastic beer - a relatively poor night's sleep and the heat. I think I may be on for a PB later this year if things continue like this.
