Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Notes & Comments

A good race at the Langtoft 10k this morning. I think the time was as good as I could have expected off 5 weeks of decent training and my recent 5k Parkrun time.

It was a really flat route and a decent course. Lots of runners around me throughout which was quite nice. There was one guy who would burst for 50m every time I drew level with him though. This was strange and a little off putting. He didn't seem to mind if anyone else went past him though! I pipped him at the finish though!

Perhaps I started a little fast, but it didn't feel like my effort level was too high at this point. Managed to hold it together through 4-8k and then had a little push at the end. I surprised myself with a decent-ish finish, as I really didn't think I had anything left in my legs.

I turned off auto-lap before the start and manually split the km's when I went past the markers. These seemed to be pretty accurate except for maybe km 7 and 8. I would definitely run this race again, as it was a quick course and decent organisation.

Next 10k is at Woodhall Spa on June 5th where hopefully I will be able to beat this time. I plan on doing the Peterborough Parkrun in two weeks time, so hopefully I can bring my time down a little there.

49th of 310 runners.

Really nice time off that training and your recent parkrun. You stay fit and your times will keep tumbling.
