Folksworth 15!! Yeehah!! 11 minute PB!! Chip time 2:12:22 :-)

Although had the usual nerves, was really looking forward to being able to just run this race rather than run at marathon training pace, which I've done (well tried to) for the last two years.

After discussing pace with HH we agreed to run together which was a great decision. This isn't an easy race to pace with the 6 delightful hills in it but I think we did amazingly well. Aim was 9m/m but had no idea if that would be possible. The first lap went ok and then the second lap got harder and had to dig deep. Really pleased how I managed to keep going, had jelly legs after hill 5 and the top section was hard in the head wind. Lovely to turn left to the downhill section after mile 12 and back wind :-). The last hill took it out of me and running the last straight was a bit of a blur but so pleased when I finished. HH was great with all the encouragement which was a huge help. Really quite shocked with the time and amazed how well we did in the last two miles. Will definitely be celebrating tonight :-)

The marshalls and support were brilliant today and great to see WJs coming in at the finish :-) Look forward to seeing all the lovely red t-shirts on Tuesday :-)

The second and 5th hill is definately the hardest looking at the splits. We must have flown down that final stretch as we cerainly didn'f fly up that last hill. Well done :-)

Yes agree was really surprised with last mile split as saw a 10 something near top of last hill!
