Notes & Comments

So, all was going well for the first four miles, i ran with Sandra, we had a chit chat along the way. When we got to five miles all i could think about was that we was half way and we have to do that all over again. Sandra was great as she kept conversation going, which helped to distract me a little.
From 8 miles i really wanted to walk and this was all i kept thinking about, so was very pleased to see the water station for a quick drink. During the last mile i walked for a little while (a bad habit i have got myself into) and i was really annoyed with myself for walking. Sandra and Jon kept getting further away, so i had the motivation to get started again. Once on the field i was getting closer to Sandra and Jon, when we ran around the corner a running group was cheering a fellow lady runner and they was all really shouting for her to do well quite loudly, i could hear her getting closer to me, i had a burst of energy from somewhere and started sprinting. I went past Sandra and Jon i could still feel this lady getting closer still, so i put everything i had left in me and crossed the finish line before her, not sure how i did it and where the energy came from!
