Thorney 5m race. Went out at a slightly optimistic sub-40 min pace but there was no way I could hold it in that heat and with that head/side wind. It was always going to be touch and go but I thought I might just about manage it in good conditions. HR was elevated, though, and just decided to back off and turn this into a tempo session. A bit disappointed but I know today isn't a true reflection of where I am at the moment.
