The 100km at Centennial Park. It was mentally tough, but good. It was great to have support from the usual NRGers plus Luke and Amber and Bex as well.
The race started well - the first 40km was good and the marathon in 4:12 was pretty much what I wanted. The first 50km was just over 5 hours and it was clear I would not be able to sustain the pace.
I kept plodding along and was gradually catching and overtaking people. Plus the fast guys were lapping me less frequently - clearly they had gone off too fast!
I managed to pull out a decent finish which made me feel good and the time gives me some confidence for GNW in 6 weeks time:-)

Nice Joe. Very nice. So the loop was 3.56km? That is short, must have been mentally tough. Congrats on a top quality time.

Cheers Si. I am very pleased with the time. The loop was indeed that short - that was part of the challenge that interested me - as well as being physical, it was an extreme mental challenge!
