Still a really good training run Si. It is frustrating to not run as fast as you want, but you have put together a good run of months. It is hard to go from sporadic running to suddenly putting together week after week of 40+ miles. It is tiring and tough on the body. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it all!
Although you were disappointed in the result, I'm glad you enjoyed the race. I thought it had a really good atmosphere. (One advantage I have at running at well over an hour is there is a lot of room to set a new PB!)
Great little report Si - by the sounds of it, it was a hard course and the wind and hills had an impact on your time. Good to hear you are looking to push on from here and with the marathon in 14 weeks (mine is in 10 weeks) we both have a good goal to aim for over the coming months.
