Ally2 Went off hard- was first leics runner for half lap, felt fucked at half way, then felt good on lap 3, then got biggest stitch ever with 1k left bringing me to a trot and lost 15/20 places, beforethe stitch went coming up the final hill and so managed a sprint finish to hold someone off. Lessons learnt- if race was 10k I would be very happy but I have mixed emotions. Heading off hard is ballsy but would I do it again? Position is unknown; guess about 120th as Stirk was about 90th 40secs ahead ( better than last year). is course 12k? as my pace begs to differ. 3rd leics counter behind powell and stirk. 113th

Lethargic Top race, quality field as always. Maybe too dry and no mud, not a techincal 'proper' hardcore XC, but hard. 4 lapper
