Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

RG Postie (RGP) My first XC and it was fun, regulars to the course said it was the wetest and muddiest most of them had ever seen it due to the constant rain we have had,It made the Boxing Day Run seem firm in comparison,I don't think there was a ideal shoe choice,I ran in spikes and had plenty of grip in the mud but suffered on the gravel, whereas runners in trails were great on the gravel but suffered on the mud, anyone in roadies would've been better off barefoot,I'm disappointed in my time and myself,it would be too easy to make excuses and blame conditions etc,but the truth is I was LAZY ! Too many times did I find myself sat on the heels of the runner in front because it was comfortable instead of pushing myself, there's at least 3+ maybe 4 mins worth of fat on that time.

Waveydavey Training run. After the muddy field I realised I had nothing in my legs and just kept it steady to the end; going backwards. Finished over 6 minutes down on last year - although conditions have a lot to do with that. My cold seemed more in evidence than yesterday too. Good race as always: nice course (a lot muddier and wetter than usual) and Tadley Runners put on a nice spread with the sarnies.
