More of a Tortoise Found it very hot despite the early start - sort of oppressive and difficult to breathe. Last mile uphill put paid to any visions of a PB but suspect it disappeared long before then as was rather lonely at my end of the field - first race I've done where there wasn't a sweep marshal which felt very strange.
Would think twice about entering it again, mostly cos of the heat, but can't fault the goodie bag at the end :o)

RG Postie (RGP) Got up this morning very sore, nothing to do with the stretching with Hanneke,I got very sun burnt yesterday, this was well organised, but we only just made it (Mrs.RGP came again) I thought it was a 10 am start and it wasn't,it kicked off at 9.30,the weather was very hot,the start was very congested and that remained up until the 3K mark,by then I decided I wasn't going to progress up the field too much and decided to sit back and enjoy the run,my only gripe with this run is the same as last years,it needs another water station, the one it has is too early and it needs another towards the end of the Phoenix way.

SparkyMark Started off ok, though got to 4k and was not feeling great. got to halfway in 27 mins, and actually had to stop and drink (although I was carrying my own). Felt physically sick around 7k. Managed to run the hill, and picked off loads of people on the grass. Though the fear of 'doing a Beckham' forced me to slow down again.

Lack of miles showed.

Great organisation, loads of marshals. goody bag was welcome.

Grrrr to the old *osser driver that decided it was a good idea to drive in front of me when turning on to the grass
