Adders HALLELUJAH. And without a doubt the biggest and most long awaited hallelujah of my running career thus far. Patience, perseverance and persistence - the wait is FINALLY over. By running 2:03, I have established a place on the UK rankings for the first time. And to do it after all the injuries and setbacks makes the moment even more special.

I knew that coming into the race I was in the best shape ever - but countless times in the past I have let myself down and fallen short of expectations. Knowing that this was the last race of the season, who could have blamed me for the feeling the pressure? But at the same time, I was confident, and that confidence showed on the track. Thankfully the race itself was competitive this time. First lap wasnt exceptionally fast - about 60.5 - but the second lap was strong. Attacked from 500m-600m to get myself in a good position and tried to stay composed for the rest. In all honesty, I didnt feel that the race went perfectly - poor nights sleep and the final sprint down the home straight didnt feel particularly convincing. But of course in discovering my time, those concerns were to be overshadowed by the sheer ecstasy.

Overall race rating - 9/10
