Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Boycie An interesting run on a narrow trail from the Wellington Arms in Southwell. It was as billed very flat, however it was on a rutted path with 4 barriers which had to be either ducked under or swerved around over a kind of cattle grid, which unfortunately slowed you down. Both Leon and my Garmin's clocked it as long - closer to 5.2k than 5k, but still a reasonable time. I probably wouldn't bet on myself again to break a PB on this though!!!

D2 Thoroughly enjoyed this race; beautiful spring evening and friendly crowd. The out and back track is a bit uneven and narrow so had to run on the 'rough stuff' to let everyone come back past. Its exciting to see the winners come back past me sooo fast! I was determined to take a positive attitude, run an even pace and not beat myself up about being at the back of the field and I managed to do that, so pleased. Time almost identical to last 5K but better paced. Garmin time 36.24 - started at back!

Spoke to a nice lady in a Fetch vest at the end - she says they are very comfortable, cant wait to get mine

Fat Man Runs A very 'clubby' race - not to say that this is a bad thing because it's not - everyone should do a mix of these type of things and the mass participation events.

What better way to spend a 'warm' summer evening eating as many flies as rural Nottinghamshire has to offer.

Only concern was that course did measure a little bit long on the GPS (about .2 of a mile),
