_andy A long way from Scotland, but I'm in meetings in London all week, so this'll make for a good night out at the start of the week, followed by a run along by Thames afterwards. Warm-up was a frantic three-mile dash from Victoria (didn't know which way was SW, so had to keep asking) to the far side of Battersae Park, arriving with a couple of minutes to spare. Ran sensibly at the start, but after a couple of minutes had overtaken a few folk and then had acres of space in front, which was a bit of a shame. Fell off the 6 min/mile pace with half a mile to go and lost one place at the last corner: sniffly cold is still very much with me. Having done 12:21 a couple of times in training, tonight's 12:22 wasn't as good as it should have been. Still, I'll PB next time when fully fit.

anne23 Sounds fun! Don't think I'll be very fast but as long as I'm not last I'll be happy. UPDATE: very good fun! got told off by an experienced man for turning up in a long sleeved top but I think I beat him so that's ok.
