Dave W Quite a nice, low key race. Not the most scenic run I've ever done, but flat, and accurate, and the multi-lap format meant that it was good for spectators. The wind had got up by race time, so made it a bit harder than it might have been. And I was a matter of seconds in front of the first race walker. I know I wasn't going that fast, but I wasn't going that slow either, which was good given my recent training, or lack of it. Good effort that man.

Flapper This was my first ever race so I was not expecting too much. I was hoping to run just 55:00 but in the end I managed a whopping 1:12s better than that! Very pleased.

The first 2.7m of the course was three loops of a portion of Saltburn town. Then there were two punishing loops that took us away from the town and into an area of allotments. This final section was a tough slog uphill and into the wind.

A very friendly, fun race :)
