Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Dad of 3 Not done this before and found the undulations quite challenging. It was scorching hot and sunny for the first half and then dark and grey with a magnificent downpour for the second. I was glad of the rain to cool me down. I'm sure my socks held a pint of water each when I rang them out.

M62 Santa Rochdale is the first run I've done twice.

I PBd in it. I was aiming for a sub 43 and came in at 43.04 (TBC). Bit gutted as I lost a battle with some inconsiderate twunt who ran with his ipod on all the way and was 4 seconds off target.

It was 2m45s off my previous PB though and over 5 mins faster than the same course last year (when conditions were much better).

It was humid for the first 2 miles & I started too fast (I could see BVRs Alison, Nigel, James & John for the first mile), by mile 3 I was hot, knackered and failing. Then it rained and I started to kick off.

I'm in the middle of a proper arse candle of a week at work which spurred me on a bit - even if it has caused some sleepless nights.

Might do Offerton 10k tomorrow after football. The again - lots to do at work so probably won't be able to.

sugs Back to my home town. Used to do this route often, so looking forward to going back.

Just waiting for official time. The first half went ok up to Queenspark Road, then it all went pear shaped. Probably started off too fast. Absolutely soaked by the end and a long drive home. Never mind - looking forward to the next one.
