automatic shoes My first race of more than 10k since being injured all summer, so had planned to take things very easy. Went off very slowly and actually found the first few miles quite hard going , especially the long haul along that main road. But coming back was much better and I was able to pick up a bit of pace (and according to my watch I ran the last mile in about 6:30, but that probably has more to do with where the 8 mile maker was placed.) This is a good event, very well organised,with its own USPs - the distance, the novelty of starting and finishing under a motorway, and they invariably provide above average goody bags

BigChiefRunningBore One of my fav races. ruddy hard start forgiving finish. Going for sub hour, which might be just too much. Result :- A PB by 5 seconds. How crap is that? 2 runs in 2 weeks meant it all caught up with meant 7 miles. plus it had been a struggle from 5 miles. Course def short but not complaining. had a couple of fun trussles around the course. Plus have a mug, t-shirt, tea towel and edible goodies.
