Dave A Im running this as it falls as part of the Police National Championships I think. I would have run other races but Ive been unable to make them due to money and time. Ive just changed my predicted time 'cos Ive heard that the conditions arent gonna be particulary susitable to running with out spikes or studs, which is hat I will be doing. Well I ran this and finished 8th out of 50 ish from about 6-7 forces. It was a really good route which was 3 laps of Middleton Woods by the South Leeds Stadium and Im very pleased with my time as I can feel that Ive done a good run now. My only gripe is my position. I was within sight of the lead grioup all the way round, and in the group of 3 that I was in I was leading and stretching the lead. However, I ended up missing the last turn off onto the fields from the last climb. The previious 2 laps, some one had been stood there, and it had a marker. I missed this and ran about 50-75 metres further on. When I came out I could see the 6th/7th place runners heading for the finish line. Never mind, always next time. I spoke with the captain of my force after and it looks like I could be running one in Manchester at the end of the month.
