Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

_andy A very grey race. Spent a lot of time completely on my own, since visibilty was maybe 30 or 40 feet for most of the race. Not too cold, but windy, which slowed things down (but not gales like last year) and a bit of drizzle. Very wet underfoot.
Race was ok, the uphills were steep and grey, the downhills were grey and fast and there weren't really any flat bits to be honest, although they would have been grey too.
Cramp threatened towards the end - probably helped by that steep gully up Harbour Hill (hill 11 of 16) and I was tiring over the last four summits which I ran almost entirely without seeing ayone else. Was caught on the final climb of Caerketton but this pushed me into a fast sprint finish to keep my place. No idea of the time when I'd finsihed since I ran with no watch/Garmin/etc. - it turned out to be almost a couple of minutes slower than last year, but the effect of the mist more than allows for that. 37th/167.
