Dochart wasn't too sure what to expect with this one but it turned out to be a lovely run on an absolute peach of a day. race hq at the leisure centre in Dawlish, a short drive from the bottom of the M5, offered changing, baggage store and showers, although parking was a bit limited. nice to meet fellow fetchie Torbay before the race began. the route follows minor roads, green lanes and footpaths (some quite muddy) through beautiful countryside to an obelisk on a hill surrounded by forest and with fantastic views to the coast. total ascent was around 450m, mostly fairly steady. 3 drinks stations and plenty of friendly marshalls. this one was terrific fun. 141/350

Torbay My first race Just hope i finish What a great day. The sun came out no wind. Lots of mud and water, loads of hills, had a real fun day. Well done Dochart on your fab time. How nice it was of you to go back up the hill and cheer us stragglers on to the finish.
