Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Foxy i was very kindly invited to join the 100 marathon club jolly boys outing to Torhout in Belgium, I was up @ 5.50am to get 2 trains & a bus to Luton Airport to meet David Herron who was flying in from Glasgow & taking me to Stevenage to join the guy on the mini bus - many of the usual suspects were there - Gary Wade, Roger Biggs, Colin Poole & a few I recognised although maybe didn't know by name.

We took the Eurotunnel & arrived around 4.30 pm, pasta & a pint at 5pm & the race start was at 8pm. I have to say I was yawning on the start line, I was hoping to finish the road season with a fast flat marathon in Belgium but the travel & running so late in the day meant I struggled but still managed to just finish on the day i started - with around 3 mins to spare.

There were a few beers in the leisure centre & fries after the race - Micha the LPM Genk marathon organiser bought us all a round :)

At just before 3am it was time to inflate my sleeping bag / bed & kip in the leisure centre - i was awoken around 9.30am but grunting women tennis players, I had slept well.

we came back early which then meant I had to oppurtunity to trek cross country to Ledbury & crash on Philip's floor & do the Cheltenham Circular the following day :)

the Flanders t-shirt was a simple but effective white cotton shirt & the medal very basic.

3 countries out of 6 done with 3 to go for my Bobby Moore fund challenge.
