WillBill This running lark gets to all the nice places! Though Mull wasn't so nice on the day before the race (very low cloud, rain, wind...), Saturday dawned bright and very breezy. Round to Loch na Keal, and much of the route was visible from the road side. Hmm, it looked big & impressive. Easy start along the road (single track, very quiet) and then a steep climb onto the first hill. Hard work but cracking once you were up: nice ridge followed, then a quick descent. Got back in 6th place on the climb up Beinn Fhada but coming off the very rough hill, one of fell shoes came apart. After one or two naughty words, stopped to lash it together part way up A'Chioch. Made up a bit of ground and one place on the exciting traverse of A'Chioch and the scramble to Ben More but then struggled to get any speed up on the hard & rough descent. But, finished eighth/fourth vet which was pleasing... and got a prize (!) for 2nd Vet which I think was really a prize for
