Lisrun 100 years since they first ran this race, but only the 89th actual race - nice commemorative T-shirt. Fairly mild but a bit chilly when you got into the wind. Sunny for most of the route although because we were running south it was often in our eyes. The wind was not directly from the south, but it wasn't far off and this did make it hard. I also felt there was more uphills than downhills. For some reason, I thought my first mile of 8m38s was slow (bizarre what goes through your mind when running) even though it was mostly uphill so I speeded up and brought my average up to 8min10s for several miles. However, this meant that I found the last few miles very hard and I slowed. Over the moon with my time which was about 5 min faster than my best time for this distance ! Looks like this was the last running of this famous race..... :-(
