Boots 1st Leg, went off and tried to stay comfortable. I began to feel strain after about 2km, I pushed myself to keep up with groups of runners and stay with the pace. Got a side stitch not for the first time at Sutton Park after about 14 mins, but still managed to keep a good pace. Did a sprint at the end and took two people. Ended leg in 36th, team finished 20th. I had the second fastest of all our splits.

joggerpete Overall quite pleased and even though last months training has been poor and very painful race was better than expected. Need to get injury free and times should come down. Hopefully!!

Matt the Brum A pleasing performance running with a hangover. An easy course to go off on too fast. Paced myself well and felt strong throughout the run.

Team Win Pleased with the time as I was expecting 22.00 at best. It was a bit demoralising losing 24 places but it was always going to be a hard leg to follow Mike James who had put us in 6th after the 1st leg.
