Cazros A really fun event - although not as flat as I had been led to believe!! Pretty bunched up at the start, with one starting pen for everyone who predicted 1:50 or slower for the half-marathon - this led to a bit of weaving in the first 5k but nothing too frustrating. Not sure how many runners made it round the full 13.1 miles, as there was plenty of scope for cutting a few corners (and the majority of runners were doing just that...) so was surprised that the times weren't quicker! All in all, a well-organised event - the numerous beer tents and after-party were very welcome. The highlight had to be the finish of the marathon - so keen were ING to get their sponsor's logo behind the winner for the initial photo call that I think they forgot that the poor guy had just run 26 miles - he rewarded them for their lack of consideration a spectacular show of vomiting, broadcast on all the screens for everyone to see. brilliant!
