_andy A warm-up for the start of four days of big miles in the Torridon / Fisherfield area, so tried to run sensibly. Very good start to behind Mar Lodge, letting half the field flow by, then picked my way through over the next few miles, passing twenty others before and after Derry Lodge. Big, big snowfields were quite a help over the boulder fields which threw in 13 and 15 minute miles (ouch). Struggled to get into a rhythm on the very rocky descent and was a bit de-hydrated for the final five miles, where the pace dropped and I lost a place. Still, 21st out of 83 is not a bad days' work.
