smash One week after Torfaen so not really expecting a fabulous time. *UPDATE* Good lord, where did that come from. Was ummming and ahhing about doing it, but decided to go and just get some miles under my belt. Set off quite quick but not really going for it, but by mile three I was still going strong. Tried to overtake the girl in front, but she wouldn't let me pass for about half a mile, which kept me going and once I did pass her I decided that there was NO WAY she was getting round me again. No mile markers meant that I had no idea of my pace, so when I rounded the last corner and worked out that I was on for a PB, I tried to go a bit quicker to get under 40min. And I did! A 2:30min PB and I'm well happt. AND there was a half bottle of wine in the goody bag! 25th of 56 finishers.
