Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Kielder Wild Race

Grey Badger This is the final race of 4 in the Wild Series. It is down as a 10k race but i think last year it was more like 10.9k. Course climbed early on for about 4k then was mainly downhill or flat after that. One last killer click just before the finish. Very hot day, finished in 9th place after running badly for the first 4k. No strength in legs and breathing all over the place. Got better as race went on.

Jenson Too hot! Organisers said it was 11.2 km.
Was struggling in last quarter though if had known course could maybe have wound it up to the finish.
Painful eye infection not ideal prep or condition for running either.
Enjoyed the course though and the views of the lake in glorious sunshine. But the BLOODY FLIES that followed me the whole way did my napper in!

Raisty Raist too long and hilly for a pb
not sure on actual time as had a timing error at the start. will correct later. Really warm but ran within myself and felt ok all the way round.
Nice views and good to get up to Kielder now and again.

Running Beard Hot - just think what it would have been like at the previous years' start time two hours later!!

Those new steps on the hill at the end threw me a bit - I usually manage a bit of a sprint - well spurt - but lost my stride pattern completely.
