paulhalford 2:14.73 5th in race A - 6th overal First 800m, having only done two 1500m before, both about seven years ago. Determined not to go off too quckly as I imagined eveyone else would yet I found myself running 30s for the first 200m (I didn't know I could sprint that fast) and going through the first 400m in third in 65. Caught by two in the home straight but stayed ahead of four-time Olympic racewalk champion Robert Korzeniowski (no, he wasn't walking). I expected to feel like I was going to die all the way around but it didn't feel that bad.
