Rich_k Finished 1st and an appearance in the pages of Athletics Weekly :^). The race went perfectly. After the first lap I was last, in a time of 1.06, but thought (hoped) everyone else had gone off too fast, overtook most by the final 200m mark and a sprint finish (27 sec 200m) took care of the rest. Was a good moment. :^). This was actually my third and last (so far) 800m since my school days, not a full pb as I ran 2.10.1 a few years earlier at an open meeting, but close and a M40 pb of 2.10.7 . This was my last race to date as back and knee problems finally led to me retiring in 2003. Decided to give it another go early 2007.
