SUPERWOMAN63 Despite arriving at my race location on time and on my own ( my husband and children were at home) l was originally running this race with a friend but she had to pull out the night before. There was nobody around who actually knew that the 5k race was running. I saw loads of stewards and was directed to various places and soon discovered that the British 10km race was also on the same day and was a much bigger event. I finally got pointed in the right direction and had to run to the start as the race was due to start, again another brisk warm up for me ( remember Brighton ) and l ran my fastest 5k as a result. Felt happy as l ran as it took me on parts of the same route as the London Marathon and those memories will stay with me forever, my medal was nice and despite the hiccup at the start l had run and finished safely .
