Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Grey Badger 3rd race of 4 in the Wild Race Series 2006. This one mainly ran on sheep track and fell.
Very hot day hence my slower than expected time. Love the course even the long hill climbing nearly 700ft. A very refreshing sit in the beck afterwards was lovely also. Very happy with my 5th place.

Jenson First ever 20k (done a 1/2 mar before), perhaps a bit ambitious?! Especially up that bloody climb before half way! Ha ha.
Think it may have been a bit shorter than 20? Anyway, was really (maybe overly) cautious not to go out too quick. Galloped down the big descent, hence legs having momentary 'time-out' near finish but happy to have met the challenge.
Not too hot as had feared and great atmosphere again.
Sitting in the beck definitely recommended!

Running Beard Very warm - the head wind going up the valley was very welcome. This a week after Garburn with Blaydon as the filling in the sandwich was probably too much for me - especailly as all were in the heat
