Lisrun This year the race started at Seaton Sluice and went to a 46 year old oar planted in the sand near Blyth pier and then back to Seaton Sluice. Tide was low so there was no climbing over groynes, but there were some streams to attempt to jump or just run through. There was no way of avoiding wet feet. Sand often gave a bit so this has probably been my most tiring beach run and it felt longer than 5m as a result. Weather was cloudy, but mild for the time of year with only a light wind. Handicap system based on age and gender, why don't some other races do this ? I was pleased with my time. There was free tea and biscuits afterwards.
