Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Birmingham Cross Country League - Race 3 of 4

Boots My time: 32:58. The race distance according to my garmin was 8.91Km so ths time was very respectable for me. However when I consider the conditions, it was an unbelieveable performance! I went off at a sensible pace and I was quite far back in the field (about 100th) after the race was starting to settle down at about 1km I started to move through as people started to realise they had gone too fast to start with (my garmin told me that!). I moved through the field and court up with some of my club runners and settled down behind them. The pace was stop and go all the time but I managed to finish in 59th, my highest ever position in the Birmingham League. Very pleased.

Matt the Brum (Burbage Common, Nuneaton, Div3) 15th/147, 1st back for Stourbridge RC. The extreme mud managed to turn this fast falt course into a slow tough battle. Thoroughly enjoyable though.
