Em B****y hard work!! Have never walked so much in a race ever, I ran my very first 10k as a newbie quicker than this!! Got near the end and heaved 3 times before the finish. Managed to keep going and wasnt actualy sick luckily. Lovely course and nice views, thought I ran the first down hill very fast as it felt like it but spilt time showed otherwise. Well marshalled and organised, will do again but much faster and no walking! Well done everyone else who took part.
Plan: 1) Do longer runs, a must before ALton and Plymouth.
2) Go running. 3) Go on a diet. 4) Take electrolites again before races.

Diogenes A bit fed up that I didn't beat my pb set in my only previous 10k and just missed out on being under the hour, but this was a much tougher course. My legs were dead on the hills (which were longish and steepish) and I didn't really get going until the last 3k which I ran really well (for me) in approx 13mins.

An excellent race in glorious surroundings and perfect weather, all organised without any fuss or officiousness. In fact, the start was the most low key start I have ever been a part of and also seemed to be 3 minutes early which might have caught some out.

Maclennane Not an official time, estimated from 30s to cross starting line, plus a glance at some bloke's stopwatch as I crossed the finish.

Really fantastic run, though. Superb work by the organisers. Convinced I was going to keel over after the second valley, the long downhill stride home from 6.5 kms made for a great feeling as I cantered in to a PB. If I'd known how close I was to breaking the hour...
