Grey Badger New race for me, probably undulating if its at Allendale not many flat bits around there. Was undulating but not too drastic. Nice route on a lovely sunny day. Got a bit too hot for me once or twice. Had a really bad patch between 3 and 4 miles and was nearly sick but pulled myself together and finished strong over the last 3 miles passing a couple of runners and finished 4th and won £20 for first vet. Nicely run event and very well marshalled by very enthusiastic volunteers.

Jenson Watch time. It was hot. Wasn't that pleased about the hill at the end (understatement - and told the megaphone man he could shove it somewhere - I was joking!), as the realisation dawned that it finished the way the Allendale Challenge starts but 8 min miled the whole race, or quite a bit less when bigger downhill stretches, so got to be fairly pleased. Marshals were, without exception, encouraging and cheerful. In hindsight, route was great. Fair/karaoke (I'm not a fan usually) afterwards in the Market Square was all fab fun too.
