Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

mokina this morning I did my firts 10 mile race EVER! It did not look promising as yesterday I wasn't feeling 100% and had tummy problems all day. This morning when I woke up my stomach was all upset. I took 2 immodioum hoping for the best and off I went. I had to cycle 45 minutes to get to the registration and my stomach wasn't getting better. I was about to pull out when I thought the immodium might kick in later and since it was a 2 laps course I could always pull out during the race if things were tough. I had a time in mind (1:38) but considering how I was feeling I wanted to just finish, it would have been a pb anyway.

after a mile my stomach felt much better and I was feeling strong but worried about the second lap: from mile 3 to 4 there was a hill, not too steep but looong! and for the second lap that would have been almost at the end. It was really tough! The last 2 miles were really terrible, but I didn't stop :-) and I finished (according to their watch as my garmin is dead) in 1:36:47. I am very pleased it gives me a predicted time for the marathon of 4:30...not bad!!!
