Gravel and a huge magnolia is impractical! The leaves degrade very slowly too and become a slippery sludge...

I couldn't agree more, ! I did give them a pear of bear claws to help with the scooping up process a few years ago. ;-)

Sadly (in many ways) I'm 250 miles too far away most of the time to be very useful.

Anyone know what this is, please? Growing in the grass verge outside my house. About 2" high, leaves are mostly missing having been mowed last week!
