Really enjoyed The Killer.
Sounds interesting, like a more intense Leon (qv. Fetcheveryone) but with added David Fincher + Michael Fassbender, two very good ingredients.
If you want a Christmas film, I still feel this is somewhat overlooked: Diner. The action starts on Christmas eve, and although on recent viewings (I've watched it nearly every xmas eve for many years) I can see it's perhaps a little less #meToo in sentiment, it's still a great ensemble piece with some good character actors who went on to other things. I always thought Barry Levinson was going to go on to do "great things" but it never really worked out.

Dragged Across Concrete Given the director's previous films included Bone Tomahawk I was not expecting My Little Pony levels of cuteness, but crikey this was bleak. I bet even Tarantino would ask the director to dial the violence down a bit. Only for those with a strong stomach - if you've seen it you will know what I am alluding to.

Good film, Diner. Kevin Bacon is there, of course.

I’ve seen dragged across concrete and didn’t really enjoy the experience.

I've never seen: Diner Breakfast Club Dirty Dancing Pretty Woman Footloose Ferris Bueller's Day Off (although I caught 10 minutes of it once and rapidly concluded he was an insufferable little git)
