There was 1 finisher out of 21 starters (though 4 others finished outside the cutoff and were allowed onto the results.) It really wasn't a numpty field, either. Navigation was from the book The Severn Way, which was written last century (although an update is promised) which was, understandably, very out of date and caused some real head-scratching moments. I thought that it would be quite a runnable path (I periodically train on the Worcestershire bits) but it was a waist-high wade through nettles in places. I bombed out on day 3 just past Ironbridge and now feel no desire to go back and do it again.
