Fozzy, yes, as fast as possible, although the goal is to swim all 3 sets at the same speed as each other (so don't cane the first one and leave nothing for the rest). Have a good recovery (although I suggest 2 minutes might be a touch 'sauna & spa' ;-)). This gives you an approximate lactate threshold pace from which you can gauge pacing for your training and use as a benchmark for improvement.

We're all aquatic types here, aren't we? Did anyone else see Ghost Shark last night on SyFy? It was just like Jaws only without an actual shark, or the script, or the storyline, or the effects budget, or the decent actors, or the shark, for cryinoutloud!

I loved it. It was hilarious, but if you see a patch of glowing water get out quick!
