Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Now, I love cheese. A lot.

Consequently, I've found myself with about a third of a wheel of Stilton.

I don't want it to go to waste, but I'm going to struggle eating it all if I just put it on crackers.

What else can I do with it?

You can freeze it. Might be a bit crumbly when you defrost it, but will be fine for cooking.

Well, yes, Cyclops, I *could* have gone on to the BBC food website and searched for Stilton, but nothing beats a good personal recommendation.

Soup was a plan.

stilton is also good with scrambled eggs and makes lush tuna pasta too.

To help it last - Keep the bits as big as possible and wrap in cling film as fridges dry it out.

We use blue chese to make cheese pate in the shop using creme fraise am sure you can google a full recipe. Also I suspect you can use stilton instead of roquefort with pear and walnuts in salad, we also do a lovely thing called bread and butter pudding which is bread covered in cooked bacon and cheese in a dish with diced spring onions, then beat an egg with some cream and cook for 10-15 mins. Nooooom.

Oh and lastly ask for stitchleton next time. Its nicer ;)
